Floodland – Post Apocalyptic Water World Colony Survival
SplatterCat is at it again with the latest post-apocalyptic game preview. Floodland is a post-apocalyptic city builder that will be released on Steam on November 15, 2022. Ultimately, Splattercat says that the game doesn’t offer much in the way of innovation that sets it apart from the other PA city builders out there, but the game looks gorgeous and I’m willing to give it a shot next month when it releases.
JUNKPUNK – Base Building Post Apocalyptic Planetary Colonization
Yes, another Splattercat video! This one takes a dep look at Junkpunk, which SC describes as a mix between Pixar’s WALL-E, Factorio, and a planetary exploration game. You’re a robot sent to a human trash planet and your job is to clean the place up and get it ready for human habitation again. Sounds a bit like No Place Like Home, too.
New Post-Apocalyptic City Builder!! Oxygen First Breath First Look Part 1
These post-apocalyptic city builders are getting out of hand, but I’m certainly not complaining! It’s nice to have so many options in one of your favorite genres. Oxygen First Breath is a game where you’re building your city to ensure the survival of humanity after oxygen has left the planet. While I don’t think that’s technically possible, it’s an interesting plot for this game.
ABOUT LAST NIGHT | Post-Apocalyptic Short Film from Germany
About Last Night is a gritty German film that’s set in the world of The Last of Us. If you’re a fan of those games and don’t mind reading subtitles (if you don’t speak German, of course), this is a really well-made short film.
Safe Haven – LGBTQ Post-Apocalyptic Drama Short Film, Outlandish Productions
Madi and Edith are surviving a post-pandemic wasteland with only each other. “We do what it takes” is the haunting subtext that plays out through most of this short film.
Revelation (A Post Apocalyptic Short Film)
Revelation is the next in line for 128 Productions, a Nashville-based indie film company that has already produced two other successful short indie films named Rage and Ruin. Revelation is the longest and (imo) best of their three films (at 31 minutes long) and is certainly worth the watch.
