The English Dub Isn’t Yet Scheduled, So We Might Be in for a Long Wait

Unfortunately, there’s no release date yet for the English dub version of the Attack on Titan finale. According to Crunchyroll, although the sub released on November 4, “Dubs for Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special 2 … premiere dates will be announced at a later time.”

This is bad news for anyone who was hoping the dub would air soon.

In the past, dubs released about a month after the subs during regular seasons. For example, the first episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 released on January 9, 2022. Then the very first English dub was released on February 13, 2022, exactly five weeks later. For previous seasons, this same pattern held then too.

But that pattern was broken for the English dub for the Season 4 Part 3 Part 1 movie.

The Season 4 Part 3 Part 1 dub didn’t drop on Crunchyroll until September 2023, about six months after the sub aired on March 3. At this point, we don’t have any real reason to believe it will be different this time.

If the pattern holds, that means you won’t be seeing the dub until around May 2024. And you’ll only be able to stream it on Crunchyroll. Hulu doesn’t get the dubs at the same that Crunchyroll does. The dub will be streamed on Crunchyroll at this link once it’s finally available.

The dubbed movie will also drop on Toonami a few hours before it’s on Crunchyroll.

Per the anime’s licensing rights, every Attack on Titan dub always airs on TV on Toonami before it drops on Crunchyroll. But you can only stream the Toonami version online if you already have a cable or satellite subscription that includes access to Toonami. If you do, you can watch the dubbed “mini-movie” before regular Crunchyroll streamers.
