Stream the Episode 75 Dub on Funimation

Funimation is the easiest and cheapest way to stream Season 4 Episode 16’s English dub legally in the U.S., starting Sunday night, May 2. It’s expected to premiere around 11 p.m. Eastern/10 p.m. Central. But check sooner, just in case it drops earlier than that.

You can stream Season 4 Episode 16’s English dub on Funimation at this link as soon as it’s available. (This link is available in U.S., Canada, UK, Ireland, Brazil, Mexico).

Right now, the dub is not yet available on Hulu or Crunchyroll.

The new dubbed episode will appear on this link once it’s up. Change the dropdown menu to Season 4. Look for Episode 75 if you want to watch Season 4 Episode 16. (It’s called “Above and Below.”) To watch today, you’ll need a paid account, which starts at about $7.99/month. If you get a free account, you might have to wait a week. I’d suggest going with the paid account, because then you can go back and watch all the previous seasons at your own leisure.

You Can Watch the Dub on Adult Swim with a Cable Subscription

If you have a cable or satellite subscription that includes The Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, then you can watch the English dub online there too. However, you’ll need a cable or satellite login that includes The Cartoon Network. Toonami has an arrangement with Funimation where they get to broadcast the English dubs roughly a day before Funimation.

If you have a cable login, then you can also watch the episodes on Adult Swim’s website here.

Episode 15 Refresher

There are spoilers below for Episode 15.

Last week left us with another major cliffhanger after we delved into Zeke’s backstory. We learned that Grisha repeated his father’s mistakes with Zeke, pushing his ideology on him and ultimately leading him to rebel. Zeke found a father figure in the previous Beast Titan’s host, who encouraged him to turn in his parents so he would stay safe. Zeke feels like the Titans have brought nothing but pain to everyone, so his ultimate goal is to end the entire Eldian race by using the Founding Titan’s power (with Eren’s help) to change Eldian physiology so they can’t have children.

Meanwhile, in Episode 14 Eren told Mikasa that she was controlled by an Ackerman compulsion created by the Founding Titan to always protect the Founding. He believes Mikasa’s love for him is a compulsion and not of her own free will. And he believes Eren is falling under the influence of the Colossal Titan, including Bertholdt’s memories. However, Zeke’s desire to wear the same glasses as his predecessor seems to point to his being under a similar influence.

We’re still left with a number of questions as we approach the finale. What exactly happened between the Tyburs and King Fritz? Is what Eren said about the Ackermans really true? Do all the Titans pass along their original host’s ideology? Does Eren really buy into Zeke’s plan?
