While The Walking Dead‘s 10th season was originally planned to end back in April of last year, COVID-19 restrictions put post-production on the back burner. But now we’re finally looking those last six episodes of Season 10 straight in the eye for a February 28th release, and a new trailer dropped by AMC this week shows us what to expect.

The quick teaser packs quite a bit into its 1 minute and 6 seconds, including a game of catch-up with Father Gabriel, Daryl, and Carol. Plus we get a look at Maggie (she’s back!) describing to her son about how his father, Glenn, died. “I told him a bad man killed him,” Maggie explains to Daryl in a voice-over. “And he wanted to know if that man got what he deserved.”

That’s right about when we see that man, Negan, doing his usual “little pig little pig” routine. It’s enough to make you want to just jump through that screen, amirite?

We also see Negan’s wife, Lucille, played by Hilarie Burton Morgan, who is also Negan actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s wife in real life. This was a highly anticipated reveal since Negan first disclosed that his barbed-wire-wrapped bat was named for his “late” wife.

So it looks like it will be an exciting next few months as these final episodes will run from February 28th through April 4th. And you can bet that we’ll be there watching right along with you!
