The 75th annual Emmy Awards nominations have been announced this week and HBO has tied a record set back in 1992 by NBC for its four separate series nominated.

The four TV shows include Succession (27 nominations), The Last of Us (25 nominations), The White Lotus (23 nominations), and House of the Dragon (8 nominations). Of those four, The Last of Us is the one we’re most interested in, of course, as fans of the original video game series were quite happy with the first season. In total, HBO brought home 127 nominations across the board.

The Last of Us is HBO’s adaptation of the 2013 video game (including DLCs and the 2020 sequel) from Craig Mazin and Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann. The series stars Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie as they traverse the events of that first game (so far).
