The fourth season of the critically acclaimed Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale has a release date, and we’re all celebrating with a brand new trailer!

The popular series, based on the 1985 novel by Margaret Atwood, experienced some delays with this season’s production due to the COVID-19 outbreak, but it’s now on track for this Season 4 release and into the confirmed Season 5.

The show stars Elisabeth Moss as June, whom we saw make her escape out of Gilead at the end of Season 3. This trailer seems to show her continuing that run, yet we also see Aunt Lydia on her trail. “She’s out there planning who knows what kind of atrocities to visit upon our righteous nation,” she cries.

We can’t help but wonder how much further into the novel’s story we’ll go through Season 4 into Season 5. Will the show approach the plot of The Testaments, Atwood’s 2019 sequel that’s set 15 years after the end of the original novel?

Either way, we’re excited to see more of the series after the long hiatus.

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 premieres on April 28th, exclusively on Hulu.
