The English dub for Chainsaw Man Episode 6 drops on Tuesday, November 29 at 12:30 p.m. Pacific. In other time zones, that’s 1:30 p.m. Mountain/2:30 p.m. Central/3:30 p.m. Eastern. This is a few hours after the new sub drops, so no, they don’t premiere on the streaming platforms at the same time.

If you want to watch the dub as soon as it drops, you’ll have to watch it on Crunchyroll. This is the only legal way to get the English dub as soon as it’s available. It likely won’t ever be on Funimation, since that platform is eventually merging with Crunchyroll. And don’t expect it on Hulu until sometime after all the dub episodes have dropped.

To watch the Chainsaw Man Episode 6 dub on Crunchyroll: Click here to go to Crunchyroll’s Chainsaw Man page. Scroll down and you should see S1. Change the dropdown menu to “Chainsaw Man S1 – English Dub.” The newest dub will be added here as soon as it’s available. Other dropdown menus will show options for watching dubs in other languages. The dropdown menu without any Dub mention is the English subtitled episodes menu.

Crunchyroll has free trials for new users. You can find the free trial options here. They include 14-day free trials for Fan, Mega Fan, and Ultimate Fan accounts. All three include no ads.

How to Watch Chainsaw Man Episode 6’s Dub on Amazon

If Amazon Prime is your preference, it won’t be too long until the dub is there too. But it won’t be at the same time that it’s available on Crunchyroll.

Amazon Prime has English dubs for Episodes 1 and 4 and 5 here. (Episodes 2 and 3 are listed, but without mention of Audio languages or subtitles.). Episode 6’s dub will be added to Amazon sometime this week, before the Episode 7 dub drops. But you might have to wait at least a day after it drops on Crunchyroll. However, if you prefer Amazon Prime, you won’t have to wait long. In fact, you can purchase the whole season at that same link, and you’ll be automatically notified when the new episodes are dropped with a TV Season Pass.

Chainsaw Man Episodes 1 through 7 are also available in non-dub form on Amazon Prime, but those are the Japanese versions.

Episode 5 Recap

You can read our full review of Episode 5 here, and we’re including a brief recap below for anime-only viewers.

There are spoilers below for Episode 5.
Last week, Makima manipulated Denji into agreeing to take on the Gun Devil. She promised to sleep with him if he successfully kills the demon, which Denji immediately agreed to do. The conversation left me wondering how she’s manipulating the other members of the team…

We were introduced to the Gun Devil, which is unbelievably powerful. In less than five minutes, it killed 1.2 million people. But this Devil hasn’t been seen since. Meanwhile, any Devil who eats a piece of the Gun Devil’s flesh grows extra powerful. (Which poses interesting questions about whether the same would happen to Power or Denji.)

We learned more about Aki’s backstory, and that his family was killed by the Gun Devil. It was a heartbreaking flashback.

In the final scenes, Division 4 gets together for the first time since Denji joined. Six agents are joining forces to hunt a devil that ate a piece of the Gun Devil and is now hiding in a hotel.

The woman with an eye patch is Himeno. She was working for Public Safety before Aki joined, and had lost six partners before him. She gave away her eye in exchange for having access to the Ghost Devil’s arm.

The guy who looks older is Arai, who’s “not super competent” but is quite motivated. Kobeni is the name of the timid girl, who’s “got the moves” but is too scared most of the time.

The episode ended with the group realizing they’re stuck in the hotel, which is somehow being manipulated by a devil that’s hiding inside. Episode 6 is definitely going to be interesting.
