The Senate Armed Services Committee is hosting a public hearing about AARO and UAPs on Wednesday, April 19. After the three objects that were recently shot down, there is heightened interest in this public hearing. After reaching out the the press secretary, Post Apocalyptic Media has obtained new information. Here are all the details we know about what’s happening, what time the meeting will take place, and more.

The Press Secretary Confirmed the Following UAP Meeting Details

Post Apocalyptic Media reached out to Cole Stevens, the press secretary for the Senate Armed Services Committee. Stevens confirmed that the AARO (All-Domain Anomaly  Resolution Office) meeting about UAPs (known previously as UFOs) is indeed happening on Wednesday, April 19. Stevens also shared that a webpage specifically about the meeting has just been released.

The meeting is officially titled: “Open/Closed: To Receive Testimony on the Mission, Activities, Oversight, and Budget of the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office.”

The hearing is being hosted by the Subcomittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities.

Based on the description, part of the hearing will be open to the public, while part of it will be closed.

The hearing will begin at 10:30 a.m. Eastern (in other time zones, this is 9:30 a.m. Central, 8:30 a.m. Mountain, and 7:30 a.m. Pacific.)

It will take place at SR-232A.

You can watch a live video of the hearing when it takes place at this link

Dr. Sean M. Kirkpatrick, director of AARO, is currently the only listed witness for the meeting.

Skeptics Have Been Questioning the 3 Objects That Were Shot Down in February

Since three objects were shot down in February, many people have been increasingly skeptical about exactly what happened. The Chinese spy balloon was shot down on February 4, AP reported. After that, there was the Alaskan UFO, the Canadian Yukon UFO on February 11, and the Lake Huron UFO on February 12. But ultimately, officials said no debris was actually recovered and the search for all three was called off.

Interestingly, before it was announced that the Alaskan search was called off, a local from Alaska said that he had already noticed that all the people searching had left Deadhorse, where the object was shot down.

Many people also commented that calling off the search didn’t make sense, considering what General Glen VanHerck, commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), said in a briefing on February 12.

He said, in part: “These are objects. I am not able to categorize how they stay aloft. It could be a gaseous type of balloon inside a structure or it could be some type of a propulsion system. But clearly, they’re — they’re able to stay aloft. I would be hesitant to — and urge you not to attribute into any specific country. We don’t know. That’s why it’s so critical to get our hands on these so that we can further assess and analyze what they are.”

On top of that, photos and surveillance data from the planes that encountered the objects has not been released, leaving more questions.

It’s not known if these will be any major part of the AARO discussion on April 19. But it is just further evidence that full funding is important.

Reddit Already Has an Email Template Created Urging ‘Pressure’ During the Hearing

Reddit’s r/UFOs subreddit is already on top of the hearing. Even before specific details were released, the subreddit had created an email template for members to send out, urging the subcommittee “to put pressure on DoD during public hearing on April 19.”

The template urges full funding of AARO and serious attention be paid to UAPs. This is particularly relevant after the UFOs that were shot down recently, with debris that was never officially recovered.

Redditor u/greatbrownbear’s proposed email template begins with:

I am writing to urge you, as a member of the Emerging Threats and Capabilities Subcommittee, to take the topic of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) seriously and support full funding for the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). Additionally, I urge you to advocate for transparency and disclosure from the Department of Defense during the upcoming public hearing on April 19…

The discussion also includes the names and links for the majority members and minority members of the subcomittee.
