Are you a writer or do you dream of being a writer one day? We want to help promote the best authors in the post-apocalyptic genre with our brand new writing contest. And the best part? It’s completely free to enter!
We’re looking for a short story (between 3k-5k words) within the post-apocalyptic genre. Your story can be fiction, non-fiction, past, present, or future, but it must take place after some sort of global catastrophe.
Terms and Conditions
- No entry fee!
- All submitted entries must be your own original work that has never been previously published.
- Only short stories will be considered and they must be between 3,000 and 5,000 words in length, written in English.
- Entries must be within the post-apocalyptic genre.
- All contest participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of submission.
- No purchase necessary to enter.
- One entry per person.
- Open to anyone worldwide. Void where prohibited by law.
- Employees of Post Apocalyptic Media are not eligible.
- Winners and all entrants retain all publishing, copyright, and reprint rights to their story. Post Apocalyptic Media does not retain any ownership rights. All judgments are final.
- The contest begins on September 25, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. and ends on December 18, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. Winners will be contacted through email and announced during our 2021 Boomie Awards at the end of the year.

Attachment: Short story must be sent as an attachment in PDF format
Only email submissions that follow these guidelines will be accepted
