Made in Abyss Season 2, The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, is premiering on July 6 at 10:30 am EDT, 7:30 am PDT. If you’re curious to know where exactly you can watch the show online here are the details, along with streaming links!

How to Watch Made in Abyss Season 2 Online

The only place to watch Season 2 in English will be on the anime streaming service HIDIVE.

While season 1 is available on Prime Video, you’ll probably have to wait a long time before the Golden City of the Scorching Sun hits Amazon’s streaming service. However, better keep everything in one location and watch it on HIDIVE instead, since you need to be fully caught up with every movie before you can deep dive into Season 2.

And no, the second season isn’t available on Crunchyroll or Funimation either. It’s exclusive to HIDIVE this time around.

What You Need to Watch Before Season 2

If you haven’t finished Season 1 yet, you can watch the two movies that serve as a season summary before watching Dawn of the Deep Soul, which you absolutely must do first.

There was a premiere screening of season 2 during Anime Expo on July 4th and people were very excited about it.

A new trailer also provided a preview of the anime’s ending theme, “Endless Embrace” by MYTH & ROID (Overlord). Riko Azuna (So I’m a Spider, So What?) is performing “Katachi” for the opening theme.

Okay but I’m New Here: What is Made in Abyss?

Made in Abyss is mashed on the Japanese manga series (Japanese:メイドインアビス, Hepburn: Meido in Abisu). The story revolves around an orphaned girl called Riko who joins forces with a humanoid robot named Reg and ventures into the titular “Abyss”—a region deep under the Earth—in a quest to find her mother.

From where we left off, Season 2 will see Nanachi, Riko, and Reg set off on their mission to uncover the secrets of the abyss. According to Fiction Horizon, they think that, judging from the second season’s title, it will largely centre on the chapter 49 narrative “The Golden City,” which is a component of the wider Ganja Arc and will likely be adapted in this season. A group of interference units that, unlike Gaburoon are human-sized, are encountered as soon as Ganja enters the sixth layer in this chapter. They can be understood by interference units, but they cannot converse with them.

Have you read the manga? If so, do you think that it will reflect in the second season? Let us know!
