Westworld finally hit our screens on June 26th and we were excited to see our favorite characters return for the fourth season. The first episode felt like it went by quickly, and if it weren’t for the fact that they released weekly, we probably would have binge-watched the entire season! Which begs the question, how many episodes are in Westworld Season 4? Let’s take a quick look!
How Many Episodes are in Westworld Season 4?
According to Wikipedia, Westworld Season 4 contains eight episodes. Those episodes are called “The Auguries”, “Well Enough Alone” “Années Folles”, “Generation Loss“, “Zhuangzi”, “Fidelity”, “Metanoia” and “Que Sera, Sera”.
It’s a tiny bit worrying that the final episode is called “Que Sera, Sera”, Italian for “Whatever will be, will be”, which basically means that the future is up in the air, whatever is going to happen, is going to happen.
Some might be familiar with the famous song by Doris Day. It’s a bit ominous, isn’t it? Does this mean that the robopocalypse is going to happen and we as a human race will just have to roll with it? Or is this the meaning behind all AI impending doom?
We also have to wonder if there will be an alternate version of that song specially made for the show, which is one of Westworld’s most memorable aspects. The soundtrack, excuse my french, SLAPS! All of these instrumental covers explicitly done for the show are beautifully written and executed. Fans agree with this too!

We’re also intrigued by the episode called “Années folles” which refers to the 1920’s decade in France. “Années folles” translates to “Crazy Years” It was called that to illustrate the rich social, artistic and cultural collaborations of the time. This period is also known in America as the Roaring Twenties or the Jazz Age. In Germany, it is sometimes referred to as the “Golden 20s” due to the post-World War I economic boom.
Is this going to be some kind of 1920’s inspired episode, where silent film, called “cinéma,” rose to popularity? Wouldn’t it be amazing to have that type of episode? In silent film mode? How interesting that would be!
What Happened in Episode 1?
Last week, we released a review of Episode 1. We noted that William’s storyline kicked off the season, Caleb had found his own happiness, and Maeve is still seeking her own peace, but now she has a war to fight. We also followed Christina’s storyline and analyzed the meaning of Auguries. You can read the full review here but at your own risk! Spoilers abound!
Fans took to Twitter to express their excitement about Episode 1, and some already have some crazy theories! We don’t blame them.

And it is SO true that you can’t really explain one, let alone three full seasons of Westworld to a new viewer. You’ll just have to tell them to binge-watch it themselves.
