Fallout 4 Clues in the New Website:

It’s TRUE. Fallout 4 is coming and we are getting all the details tomorrow at E3.

For now, there is a “please stand by” teaser website here with a countdown (currently at 20:45:54 as I’m typing…) It’s counting down to the BIG announcement at E3 tomorrow morning.

The countdown site is copyrighted by Bethesda and the website itself is registered to CSC Corporate Domains, Inc., who also own Elder Scrolls Online.

Pete Hines himself posted the following on Twitter:

Then he adds:

Of course, I went to Reddit and a few other sources for clues we can find on the website (there is GREAT info in this Reddit post, some of which is listed out below):

Clues from the Trailer Website

Buried in the webcode

Buried in the webcode is a reference to Fallout 4 dot com. Right now, Fallout4.com isn’t working.

Institute Javascript

Some strange Javascript is linked on the page, including one named institute.js. Could this be a reference to a technology institute, like MIT or the Boston theory? The link: http://fallout.bethsoft.com/57601643.institute.js

Redditors and other coders are posting that they think it may reference a bunch of coordinates and arrays, perhaps that form some type of message.

The Javascript also includes links to old videos, like the anchorage DLC trailer.

Pre-Order Possibilities

Some CSS styles reference “preorder,” which I bet a lot of people will be jumping on. 😉 There are pre-order buttons referenced, including logos for Android, iPhone, iOS, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Steam. Does this mean we might see a phone app version of Fallout 4?

Just to be safe, I’d say you should have your credit cards ready tomorrow in case a limited number of games are available for pre-order as soon as the announcement is made!

Master Brain

The page source code also references the robobrain that controls security robots in 2277. More specifically, it reads: “PA system failure has occured. Shutdown of the Masterbrain has been authorized and all sensitive materials have been removed for security purposes. Please attempt re-access. Have a pleasant day.” Is this just their cute message set up in case the page goes down?
