86 Eighty-Six subbed episodes 22 and 23 have been on Crunchyroll for a while now, and fans are getting anxious for the dubbed release. The finale dropped earlier this year (you can read our review right here!) and those who follow the series with subtitles have been left in the dark since.

What Time Does 86 Eighty-Six Episode 22’s Dub Drop Online?

While we speculated that the last episodes would drop in June since Episodes 22 and 23 premiered on March 12th and 19th respectively, it seems like we were a month off! We now know that Episode 22 will air on May 14th and the 23rd on the 21st. Anime like Attack On Titan usually have a month of wait before we can hear the dub versions, but Crunchyroll seem to have a pace of its own. Both episodes will air on Crunchyroll. The network confirmed with Postapocalytpic Media that the new 86 Eighty-Six dubs will drop at 12:30 p.m. Pacific /3:30 p.m. Eastern on the days previously mentioned.

Aleks Le will be replacing Billy Kametz as the voice actor for Shin, the main character of 86 eighty-Six. Kametz had to step down for health-related reasons. We want to thank him for his incredible performance as the series’ protagonist and send him all of the best healing vibes in the world.

Welcome to Aleks Le, who also knows he’s got some big shoes to fill!

If this is the first time you hear about the story, here’s a storyline according to IMDB: “The Republic of San Magnolia. For a long time, this country has been besieged by its neighbor, the Giadian Empire, which created a series of unmanned drones called the Legion. After years of painstaking research, the Republic finally developed autonomous drones of their own, turning the one-sided struggle into a war without casualties – or at least, that’s what the government claims. In truth, there is no such thing as a bloodless war. Beyond the fortified walls protecting the eighty-five Republic territories lies the “nonexistent” Eighty-Sixth Sector. The young men and women of this forsaken land are branded the Eighty-Six and, stripped of their humanity, pilot the “unmanned” weapons into battle. Shinn directs the actions of a detachment of young Eighty-Sixers’ squad known as the “Spearhead” while on the battlefield. Lena is a “handler” who commands the detachment from the remote rear with the help of special communication. The farewell story of the severe and sad struggle of these two begins!”

Are you as excited as we are for the dubbed episodes? How do you feel about Shin’s new voice actor? Let us know! Also… Are you team subbed, or team dubbed?
