With today’s major Line in the Sand Update, the 4X real-time strategy game Dune: Spice Wars from Northgard developer Shiro Games and co-publisher Funcom keeps getting bigger. Since the start of Early Access, Shiro Games has added a huge amount of content, such as multiplayer, a new faction, units that can fly, new buildings, and much more. The game is set in Frank Herbert’s revolutionary Dune universe.
Community Requested Features Added in Line in the Sand
The update that went live this morning adds and enhances material across the board, including a good many of the community’s suggestions. A completely new and much-requested feature called an end-game stats board has been added, and it now enables players to examine and share their success in the game. Rebalancing and significant AI upgrades have also been included for the game’s military units.
A Landsraad metre has also been introduced, which highlights the many stages of the complicated system and makes it simpler to keep track of them. In addition, the map creation and beginning spawns have been adjusted so that the game begins on a more even playing field. In addition, there are brand new areas, new military weapons, new village qualities, updated espionage activities, and reworked councilors, to mention just a few of the new additions.
Air, meet Sand.

What is Dune: Spice Wars?
In Dune: Spice Wars, you are tasked with leading your party in a war for control and dominion over the harsh desert planet of Arrakis, which takes place in the famous Dune world created by Frank Herbert.
To put it simply, spice is the most precious commodity in the whole world. The spice has the ability to lengthen one’s life, broaden one’s mind, and enable intergalactic travel. The most powerful powers in the cosmos are looking for it, and the only place it can be found is on Arrakis. Participate in the struggle for dominance over Dune and the spice as any one of a number of different groups, including as the House of Atreides, the House of Harkonnen, the Smugglers, or the local Fremen.
This is the year that Dune: Spice Wars will leave Early Access and become available to everyone. Participate in the innovative gameplay that combines 4X and real-time strategy either with your friends or on your alone. Find out more by visiting the Spice Wars website.
