Stray’s release is right around the corner and the folks at BlueTwelve Studios are not holding back on the promotions for this number-one most-anticipated game on the Steam charts.
“Gamers and cat lovers alike will be drawn like catnip to the limited edition Stray harness and cat backpack collection to celebrate the game’s digital launch on July 19,” the studio announced this week. “The gear can be used to spend more quality time with cats beyond the great indoors and give cats the enrichment and stimulation they need in a feline-friendly way to support a long and happy life.”
So yes, this bubble cat backpack from Travel Cat is a real thing. Not only that, Travel Cat is offering a harness that’s similar to what is worn by Stray’s main protagonist. Both the backpack and the harness are decked out in the same color scheme as the game and both feature Stray logo patches.
“Inspired by the stunning visuals of Stray, this neon and charcoal cat bubble backpack was created to bring cat and gaming enthusiasts together,” the backpack’s description reads. “This colorful version of our international best-seller, ‘The Fat Cat’ holds the most weight of any cat backpack on the market — up to 25 lbs of cat.”
The bubble backpack itself runs $140 while the harness and leash set runs $40. Both items will be available on August 31 and the site currently offers a $10 coupon for both products.
While this promotion is purrfect (sorry) for the cat-loving gamer, Stray is already a huge hit with Steam gamers everywhere as it reached the number one spot on the platform’s most anticipated list this week.
