Here’s the Video for the Ending Song ‘Hawatari 2-oku Centi’ by Maximum the Hormone
Chainsaw Man Episode 3’s ending song is “Hawatari 2-oku Centi” by Maximum the Hormone. Here’s the official video as shared by MAPPA. The video is 1:30 in length.
The title is roughly translated to mean “200 Million Centimeter Long Blades.” Here’s the group’s TV edit version of the song on their official YouTube channel.
English Lyrics to the Ending Song
The band also shared a video that includes the lyrics on YouTube.
In their comments below the video, the band shared the following lyrics.
According to the band, the song starts with “Demon … In the name of devil” (repeated 9 times), followed by “Kon>
Next are two lines that aren’t in English, but are listed as “Vm… Gru Gdehhn Gwe-gwe Vvm…!! Gru Gcha-gcha Cha-geh!!,” followed by “Vvm… Do-ruru Do-y Gyadda! Becho! Bo-n Gru… Gcho!” This is repeated twice.
And finally, the band shares these lyrics:
The devil’s song, The devil’s sound
Wow, what a good kid
Who is the hunter? Who is the demon?
Oh…Shuttered into pieces
This collected saved goriness
Just for you, for you, I was presenting it
We’re blood-unweaned children who have nowhere to live
To our bodies, here, it’s your engines
2-hundred-million-centimeter-long blades
So there you have it. Those are the lyrics as shared by the band itself about a month before the song debuted after Episode 3.
The Band Shared Thoughts About Their Work
On its official website, Chainsaw Man included quotes from different musicians about their work, including the third episode ending song.
Maximum the Hormone said: “The pace of making new songs for the band is unusually slow, but if it’s for my favorite manga work, I’ll be happy to make songs at high speed like a dog in heat shaking its hips. It’s always been my dream to have a song used in a Chainsaw Man anime… if there is a sequel, I want you to use Hormone’s songs.”
Chainsaw Man’s website also notes that the first Original Sound Track EP for Episodes 1-3 is already available. All the links are here, including links for Spotify, YouTube, Apple, Amazon Music, iTunes, and more.
The first two ending songs were also phenomenal. You can watch them below.
The series is going to have one main opening song, along with 12 new ending songs after each episode. So yes, this means that the first season is going to be 12 episodes long. But fans are hoping they’ll ultimately learn this is just the first cour, with a second cour coming later. Only time will tell if this is correct though!
