What is the Rick and Michonne Series About?

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live follows the separate paths of Rick and Michonne, who were separated after Rick’s decision to detonate a bridge to halt a horde of walkers. Injured in the explosion, Rick is rescued by Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) and handed over to a secretive organization that whisks him away. Meanwhile, Michonne, believing Rick to be dead, later discovers evidence of his survival and sets out on a mission to find him.

On her journey, Michonne forms connections with fellow travelers in a nomadic caravan who offer support. Conversely, Rick finds himself in the Civic Republic, a fortified community located in the former Philadelphia area, where strict rules govern daily life. Despite numerous failed attempts to escape, Rick chooses to fully immerse himself in the Civic Republic Military, an elusive group that has made sporadic appearances throughout various narratives within the Walking Dead Universe, as he prepares for another bid for freedom.
