The return of Black Mirror has been a big deal for sci-fi fans following a 3-year absence for the dark anthology series. But a recent cast announcement has us all excited for Series 6.
The new cast members include Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, Westworld), Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2), Kate Mara (Fantastic Four), Josh Hartnett (Black Hawk Down), Danny Ramirez (Top Gun: Maverick), Paapa Essiedu (Gangs of London), Clara Rugaard (I Am Mother), Auden Thornton (Arlington Road), and Anjana Vasan (Spider-Man: Far From Home). Both Aaron Paul and Anjana Vasan have been in previous episodes of Black Mirror in the past.

While there haven’t been too many other details revealed for this sixth season, Variety reports that this cast member announcement is just for the first three episodes. Considering the fact that Series 5 only had three episodes, that might worry fans a bit, but producers have confirmed that Series 6 will have more episodes than Series 5. That could certainly mean one more episode or five more episodes; we just don’t know yet.
Black Mirror first debuted more than a decade ago on British Channel 4, but creator Charlie Brooker was able to get Netflix’s attention in 2015 and it was picked up for Series 3, 4, and 5 through the streaming platform. A full-length movie, entitled Bandersnatch, was also made in 2018.
A release date has not been announced yet for Series 6, but we’re counting on news soon.
