If you’re wanting to watch Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 28 today on Sunday, March 27, then unfortunately you’re going to be disappointed. In fact, you might have even found this article after going online and noticing the new episode isn’t there. We’re sad to announce that today is not Attack on Titan Sunday. We only have one Attack on Titan Sunday left, before a very long break. So when exactly does Episode 87 air if it’s delayed? Here are all the details about S4E28. (Note: if you’re interested in learning about what was announced about AoT at Anime Japan 2022 today, check out our story here.)

Season 4 Episode 28 Airs Next Week

Season 4 Episode 28 is delayed one week and is airing on Sunday, April 3, instead of Sunday, March 27. The English subtitled episode will air in the U.S. at the same time it normally airs on Sunday, so there are no changes in that regard. It will simply be airing one week later than normal.

So mark your calendars for Sunday, April 3, at 4:45 p.m. Eastern/3:45 p.m. Central/2:45 p.m. Mountain/1:45 p.m. Pacific.

The new episode is called “Dawn of Humanity.”

Hulu’s official description for the episode reads, “The things seen that day… The things they talked about… The choices made that day… Everything had been willed by him. Next episode: The Dawn of Humanity.” The preview is pretty tight-lipped about what to expect too, not giving away much. But you can see our full analysis in our story here.

Why Is Episode 87 Delayed?

The official Attack on Titan website shared that Episode 87 is airing on Sunday, April 3, in Japan on NHK rather than March 27, when it was supposed to air. They note: “Broadcasting will be suspended on March 27 due to special organization…”

That “special organization” is Anime Japan, which takes place all weekend and is a really big event for anime fans. In fact, by the time you’ve read this article you may have heard some pretty exciting announcements from the event. Attack on Titan had a special stage there, according to the official website, and their event took place March 27 from 17:25-18:25 (Japanese time). This was really early in U.S. time zones. Special guests included “Yuki Kaji, Yui Ishikawa, Marina Inoue, Hiro Shimono, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Ayane Sakura, Chiaki Matsuzawa (MC).”

You can rewatch the event in the YouTube video below.

So unfortunately, it’s going to be a week-long wait until you can see Attack on Titan again. Just as a reminder: the next episode is not airing today, it’s airing on April 3.

If you’re looking for something to pass the time in the meantime, I have a fun suggestion. Start watching the English dubs of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 that have released so far. Each dub episode is about one month behind the sub release, which means there are quite a few that you can catch up on today through Funimation. (An affiliate link for checking them out is here.)

Personally, I think watching the English dubs is probably the best way to deal with the disappointment of not having a new Attack on Titan sub episode this week, if you were expecting one. It still gives you a new Attack on Titan experience to help fill in that emptiness while waiting for next week’s episode to air.
