How Many Episodes are in Attack on Titan Season 3?

You’re in luck this season. Rather than 12 episodes like last season, it looks like Season 3 is going to be 24 episodes long (aka 2 cours.) This will cover 10 volumes of the manga, confirmed by reliable leaker YonkouProductions. (By the way “cours” refers to how animes are produced in sets of about 12 episodes each. Season 1 was 2 cours (25 episodes) and Season 2 was 1 cour (12 episodes.) With Season 3 being 2 cours again, we’re looking at 24 to 25 episodes.

How Can I Read the Manga that Season 3 Attack on Titan Is Based On?

That’s easy. Amazon has the manga for Season 3 Part 1 here and Part 2 here with special editions to the box set, available for pre-order. If you don’t want the special edition but would rather just read the manga now, you can order Chapter 51 (Volume 13), where Season 3 begins, on Amazon here.

Whether it will be faithful to the source material remains to be seen. There will be some differences, but just what isn’t known. Some fans are reporting that the Season 3 premiere shows some events being changed (shortened or skipped entirely) and others moved to different parts of the timeline.

Season 1 was based on the manga up to chapter 33. Season 2 was up to chapter 50. Season 3 begins at Chapter 51 (Volume 13.) It’s rumored that Season 3 will end around Chapter 90 (volume 22.)

What Is the Attack on Titan Season 3 Schedule?

Attack on Titan Season 3 is going to release one week at a time, one episode per week. That means you’ll be coming back for the subtitled episodes at the same time and day every week. There might be a hiatus between episodes 12 & 13, but we’re not sure about that yet.
