Anime Japan 2021 hosted an Attack on Titan Final Season Panel just hours before the final episode (Season 4 Episode 16 aka Episode 75) was set to premiere in Japan. The panel aired at 3:30 a.m. Eastern on March 28, and fans hoped that the panel might reveal details about whether Season 4 will continue and complete the manga. Unfortunately, viewers walked away without getting the information they wanted to hear.
There are spoilers through Episode 15 below. Please don’t add spoilers from the manga in the comments. Thanks. 🙂
The Panel Didn’t Mention Anything About a Part 2, But That Information Was Revealed Later
The Anime Japan’s Attack on Titan panel featured many of the major voice actors from the series. Unfortunately, they didn’t mention anything about whether or not the anime would continue or if there would be a Season 4 Part 2.
The event was called “Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season (Attack on Titan: The Final Season) Special Stage” and was slated to last for 35 minutes on March 28 (from 4:30-5:05 p.m. Japan time.) Then the final episode was scheduled to premiere on March 29 at 12:10 a.m. JST, just about seven hours after the panel ended.

Post Apocalyptic Media tried to buy a ticket to see the English translation of the panel, but when we tried it appeared that tickets were no longer being sold. However, some people who did listen to the panel shared that the attendees didn’t say anything about whether or not the season would continue past Episode 16.
Anime Corner tweeted: “The Attack on Titan stage ended with no announcements. Now we wait for the final episode later today.”

A subreddit dedicated to spoilers shared the same thing. (Note: Don’t read the rest of the subreddit unless you are OK with seeing manga spoilers.) They wrote: “Not very surprising but we didn’t get any updates about the future of the anime. The only new information that I could make out from my limited Japanese was an official release date for the DVD/Bluray, as well as a drama CD Still hoping for a surprised announcement after tonight’s episode ig :((”
One person replied that it wasn’t unusual not to have a major announcement during these types of events.
UPDATE: When the episode aired in Japan, it was announced that the next episode will premiere in Winter 2022!
The Blu-Ray’s Release Was Announced
The panel did announce that the final season Blu-Ray will be released on May 19, 2021, another person shared on Twitter.
