The new season of Alone is upon us and we are so excited to follow the harsh and triumphant journeys of the ten new contestants of History Channel’s survival show. Here are the details on what time Alone Season 9 premieres.
When Does Alone Season 9 Premiere?
The newest season of Alone premieres May 26th at 9 PM Eastern/Pacific on the History Channel (and it drops the next day on the History Channel app.) In the Central time zone, tune in at 8 p.m.
New episodes will be dropping every Thursday at the same time. This year, the show will be taking place in Big River, Labrador, which is famous for its Wild Atlantic Salmon and Sea Run Trout. The area is very remote and, as per the Labrador Fishing website, Big River “still proves to provide an extraordinary angling experience to anglers of all ages”. So fishing shouldn’t be an issue this year on Alone. The main difference is that the survivors are not going to be safely tucked-in in remote campgrounds lodges, but rather will have to face the harsh weather, wildlife, and the biggest enemy to some: isolation.

Here’s what History has to say about the new season: “Season 9 of The History Channel’s hit survival series Alone delivers a fresh set of dangers and challenges for ten new participants. Equipped with just ten items of their choosing, the survivalists are dropped into a remote wilderness valley in Labrador, Canada. While documenting their experiences, each participant must survive in total isolation, with hopes of outlasting everyone else to claim the $500,000 prize. Not only must they endure hunger, loneliness, and the elements, but this season, they’ll become the hunted as they discover their location is situated deep in polar bear territory. No camera crews. No gimmicks. It is the ultimate test of human will.”
The contestants need to choose 10 items from a list to take along on their journeys. You can view those articles here. There is also a list of forbidden items, including fuel, lighters or matches, bug spray, fishing lures and traps, coolers and food storage. The full item list is in the same article.
Of the contestants, 7 are men and 3 are women. One of them in particular is going to be interesting to follow: Jessie Krebs, from Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Her bio is very interesting and her main focus is teaching wilderness survival skills to women and other underprivileged groups, which she plans to do in 2022 when she opens her own school, O.W.L.S. Skills (Outdoorsy Women Learning Survival Skills). Let’s see if the show is going to be beneficial to her business. We certainly hope so! Find more about the cast here.
