Attack on Titan Season 3 released today, but fans have one question that still isn’t answered. When is the dubbed release of Attack on Titan Season 3 going to be available? Read on for details. (Note: If you haven’t watched Attack on Titan yet, you can catch it on Amazon Prime Video. Season 1 is here and Season 2 is here.)
While English subtitles will be available for every Attack on Titan episode just about 2 1/2 hours after it’s released in Japan, the English dubbed versions are going to take longer, we’re sorry to say. These won’t be available until August, a few weeks after each broadcast.
Funimation plans to have English dubbed versions (simuldub) sometime in August.
Adult Swim is going to be airing dubbed episodes of Season 3, starting August 18. Funimation’s dubs typically air one to two weeks after Adult Swim’s, because of certain rights that Adult Swim acquired to air the show. (If you hear that Toonami is airing the dubs on August 18, that’s also true, but Toonami is Adult Swim (ie its episodes air on Adult Swim.))
In summary, the very first simuldubs (English dubbed versions) of Attack on Titan Season 3 will be released on Adult Swim on August 18. Funimation will also have simuldubs, but likely one to two weeks after each episode premieres on Adult Swim.
If you haven’t watched Attack on Titan yet, you can catch it on Amazon Prime Video. Season 1 is here and Season 2 is here.
Great research Sara! Saved me a lot of time.
