Surviving a zombie apocalypse doesn’t have to be impossible. Yes, we know that Daryl and Carol are the best things that ever happened to The Walking Dead (and that should have happened to that Fear show.) But if you wake up one morning and find that the world is getting overrun by zombies, you can survive even without their help. Sure, you may not want to. But you can. It doesn’t have to be the end of the world.
Oh wait.
5 secrets to surviving a zombie apocalypse w/o Daryl or Carol. #TWD Share on X1. Save up your weapons. NOW. They’ll be more valuable than gold.
Hoarding gold for the apocalypse? Stupid. Hoarding ammo? Sure, I get it. Me, I'm hoarding Sriracha & Nutella and will live like a king.

Hoarding food and weapons should be a top priority when you’re preparing for the apocalypse. Some would argue gold too, so you’ll have a tradeable commodity. But maybe some special items, like Nutella, will be worth even more…
When the apocalypse hits, your first move should be getting some weapons before things get really bad. Without a Daryl or Carol character by your side, you will definitely need weapons ASAP. But don’t just take everything for yourself. You want to make a few friends along the way, don’t you? Remember the pantry in The Walking Dead?
2. Pick a good weapon that matches your personality

Sure, you could get a plain old boring gun or something like that. But this weapon is going to be your traveling companion for a long time. Best make sure you two will still be getting along in five years.
3. Find a hideout that’s safe and smart.

Of course, safety is a top concern. But a hideout that’s stocked with enough food to last a lifetime might be a nice perk. If you can avoid having to hunt for food in a zombie-infested land every day, that’s a good thing. But don’t go picking the place that everyone else is going to end up at.
4. Remember, innocent-looking objects can be zombie traps.

Don’t take anything for granted. Revolving doors, elevators, even escalators could make you zombie food. Avoid anything, no matter how innocent looking, that could become a trap.
5. Finally, don’t be afraid to do what’s necessary to survive.

We all joke about it, but in the end… If it’s you or the other guy and only one can survive… You know what has to be done.
