The Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 Part 1 dub has been delayed much longer than anyone had anticipated when part 1 of the finale’s sub released back in April. But it’s finally almost here and we have all the details on exactly when you can tune in, depending on the time zone: Central, Pacific, Eastern, and Mountain.

Crunchyroll Is Airing the English Dub Late Sunday Night, September 10 or Early Morning Monday, September 11

Unfortunately, the dub is airing much later than you might have guessed. According to a press release that Crunchyroll sent to Post Apocalyptic Media, the English dub is airing at 10:30 p.m. Pacific time on Sunday, September 10.

In other time zones, that translates to:

  • 11:30 p.m. Mountain
  • 12:30 a.m. Central on Monday, September 11
  • 1:30 a.m. Eastern on Monday, September 11.

Once the dub is available, you can watch it on Crunchyroll at this link. Just scroll down to S4 E-SP1, the last video on the page. But if you want to watch it as soon as it drops, you’ll have to be prepared to stay up pretty late.

The listing for the episode will look like this, except it will say Sub/Dub at the bottom rather than just subtitled once the dub is available:

Hulu’s Version Won’t Likely Be Available for Quite Some Time

If Hulu follows previous patterns, it won’t get the dub version of Season 4 Part 3 Part 1 for quite some time.

According to Hulu’s March 2023 press schedule, they didn’t even get the dub for Season 3 Part 2 until March 28, 2023, more than a year after the dubs started dropping on Crunchyroll. So even though Hulu gets English subs at the same time as Crunchyroll, they’re about a year behind on the English dubs. You’d be better off getting a free trial with Crunchyroll than waiting on Hulu for the dub.

Once the dub is released, Crunchyroll will add it to their Attack on Titan dub page here

The English Dub Released Much Later Than Anticipated

It’s not clear why the English dub released so late, but it was a lot later than anyone had guessed (including us.) The sub version aired on March 3. So we’ve had to wait six months for the dub.

Previous seasons had led us to believe we’d only have to wait a month. The first episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 released on January 9, 2022. Then the very first English dub was released on February 13, 2022, exactly five weeks later. For previous seasons, this same pattern held. It was about four to five weeks after the sub released before we got the English dub.

Jessica Calvello, who voices Hange in the English dub, wrote on Twitter on March 20: “Started recording for the final season of Attack on Titan today. Could not stop crying.” Based on her tweet, we suspected it would be delayed at least a month. But not as long as it ended up being delayed.

Masafumi Mima, the sound director, wrote in a translated tweet on June 26 that dubbing was “65% done.” This seems to line up more closely with when the dub was ultimately released.
