Distemper is a post-apocalyptic tabletop roleplaying game that is set against the backdrop of the world and storylines explored in the Distemper comic book, published by Blood Moon Comics in 2023.

Players find themselves a year from today in a world where 90% of humanity have been wiped out in just a few months by the Dog Flu, a deadly virus transmitted to us by man’s supposed best friend. What’s left isn’t very nice and as a survivor, you will have to figure out what you are prepared to do to stay alive.

How will you find and secure the supplies you’ll need to get by? Where will you stay that provides safety? How will you decide who you can trust as you recruit others to your cause? The most important thing is to stay alive.

The world of Distemper is grounded and realistic. There are no zombies, no mutants and no aliens, just other, desperate survivors who are more concerned with their survival than they are with yours. Everything is hard, everything is cold, and everyone is a threat.

This is a world where everything is broken is or well on its way to breaking and there is no supply chain and nothing new is going to be manufactured again. How you will ensure your survival is up to you. Perhaps you will recruit followers to help build a community and secure a territory, or maybe you will opt to keep moving in a small group, raiding and taking what you need.

No matter what it takes, you will need to be prepared to do whatever it takes to stay alive at least one more day.
