Photos and videos from the set of Isle of the Dead are revealing a fascinating picture about the new Negan and Maggie spinoff — and all is not well between Maggie and Negan. We know that the series is about Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and their adventures in Manhattan (which apparently includes ziplining from highrises.)
But new videos and photos from filming are revealing more.
One Video Shows Negan & Maggie in an Intense Fight
The TikTok account DixonsDays shared a video from filming that shows Maggie and Negan decidedly not getting along.

In case the video is taken down for any reason, there’s another version on Twitter. @lcmaggies commented that they can’t wait to see this in HD.

The photos from the set paint an amazing picture, and they’re being shared all over Twitter and other social media platforms.

It definitely looks like Maggie and Negan will have quite a bit of conflict in this series. So people worrying that they would get along too easily after what happened to Glen can put those concerns aside, it seems.

But I doubt they’ll be fighting all the time. Here are two more photos from the set.

News 12 New Jersey reported on July 21 that they were filming near Route 35, including at the Holmdel Motor Inn.

And check out how nice Morgan and Cohan are! In between takes, Cohan took time to take a self with Morgan while fans stood in the background and waved.

On Twitter, @TWDPromos shared that they would be filming at the abandoned K-Mart in Newark, New Jersey, including in a basement with access to an abandoned trolley tunnel.

Filming will also take place on the roof of the building too. I don’t know about you, but filming in an abandoned trolley tunnel sounds like an apocalyptic dreamscape. It’s going to be amazing, I bet.
Earlier this month, Morgan tweeted that they were just about to start filming, as Post Apocalyptic Media previously reported. He tweeted a photo of the script for the pilot episode with the simple message: “Here we go.”
The pilot script is written by long-time The Walking Dead writer and co-executive producer Eli Jorné while the directorial duties go to Loren Yaconelli.
Shooting for the series will take place in both New York and New Jersey. A Walking Dead series has not been filmed in either of those two states before.
