AMC has released the first trailer for its anthology series based on The Walking Dead called Tales of the Walking Dead. The short teaser trailer shows off some of the stars that will be featured in the mini episodes, including Terry Crews, Parker Posey, Olivia Munn, and more.

The first season of the series will consist of six one-hour episodes, all telling various backstories relating to characters in The Walking Dead universe. Some of the characters will be returning from a previous show (like Samantha Morton returning as Alpha from the main series), while others will be brand new.

Channing Powell will take the director seat on this spin-off, working previously as a writer and producer for both the original TWD series and Fear the Walking Dead. Powell will be working closely with original creator Scott M. Gimple on the project to make sure everything is true to the TWD universe.

“This series, more than any other in the Walking Dead Universe, runs on new voices, perspectives, and ideas — bringing to life stories unlike any we’ve told before,” Gimple said in a press release. “I’m thrilled to be Channing’s consigliere, helping in every way I can to make those new visions real for the best fans in TV.”

The trailer promises six different stories as a collage of characters shows on the screen. In it, we see Olivia Munn, Poppy Liu, Danny Ramirez, Parker Posey, Jillian Bell, Samantha Morton, Terry Crews, and more.

The trailer finishes off with such a classic moment from Parker Posey, who turns her back to a walker, exposes her neck, and says, “Just get it over with.” If you’re a fan of Parker Posey in shows like Lost in Space, Granite Flats, or even one of her first, Dazed and Confused, you know that this is exactly what her character would do. Has she given up on surviving? Does she think she’ll get near immortal powers? Is she curious about the taste of brains?

We’ll just have to wait until this summer to find out.
