Master Chief and his Silver Team wowed viewers in the first episode of HALO when it aired on March 24th. According to ScreenRant, it is also Paramount+’s most-watched original series within 24 hours of its release. What an amazing milestone for the series already! We can’t wait to see what is in store for the rest of the season! Which brings the question: when does HALO Episode 2 premiere?

Here’s a Refresher on Last Week

Below is a quick recap on HALO Episode 1 before the second episode airs. You can read a full recap with photos here

The first episode of HALO was jam-packed with action, world-building, and plot development. There was a lot to keep up with. We saw an Elite battle right away up close and it was dark. Children were slaughtered and an entire community was destroyed. The Spartans were able to stop the Elites in an amazing show of force, but only one person in the entire town survived: Kwan. When Miranda Keys reaches out to her later to try to get her to warn the other colonies about the dangers that the Covenant poses, Kwan won’t even budge a little and help her. So they end up ordering John to kill her.

We’re also introduced to Dr. Catherine Halsey, who has a pretty intense working relationship with Admiral Parangosky. Halsey tells the admiral about an alien object (a relic) that John found.

We’re also introduced to Blessed One, a human one who seems to have some kind of leadership role among the Prophets.

John’s not keen on killing Kwan. Touching the relic changed him somehow. (Not to mention, just before he gets the orders, Kwan revealed that he was the one who killed her mother in an attack that was definitely unnecessary.) The UNSC tries to take control when he disobeys the order, but he tries to wrest control back from them. His ship is pulled back to the UNSC, but when Master Chief touches the relic, it powers up the ship again and he and Kwan are able to escape.
