Fans of Raised by Wolves have had a great time watching season 2. Each week brings a new, crazy plot twist that we never expected. But where is Season 2 Episode 9? Is it airing any time soon?

Raised by Wolves Ended on Season 2 Episode 8

Unfortunately, Raised by Wolves was shorter this season than last season. The season 2 finale was season 2 episode 8. Yes, the second season was only eight episodes long, even though the first season was 10 episodes long.

It’s understandable that you might be confused and expecting a ninth episode, since we got one last season. But season 2 episode 8, “Happiness,” was the last episode we’re going to see for quite some time.

You can read our review of the season 2 finale here, along with a look at all the crazy cliffhangers and plot twists that happened in that last hour. I’m thinking about the snake, grandmother, and Marcus of course! But just in case you’re reading this and haven’t watched the finale yet, I won’t spoil anything beyond just listing those names.

When Is the Show Returning?

The even worse news is that we simply don’t know when Raised by Wolves is returning for season 3. In fact, as of the time of this article’s publication, it hadn’t even been renewed yet. This was confirmed in an EW article and by many other sources too.

Abubakar Salim, who plays Father, did an AMA on Reddit the day of the Season 2 finale and shared that he wants five full seasons, just like the fans. One viewer asked, “Does the network know there will be riots if we don’t get all 5 seasons?” He answered, “I will be leading the riot. ;)”

But the showrunner is already planning out the third season, in the hopes that it will be renewed soon.

In an interview with EW, showrunner Aaron Guzikowski said he’s already working on a third season.

He said: “I’m working on season 3 now. It hasn’t been officially greenlit, but I am working on it. And quite a bit is worked out. Quite a bit is worked out beyond that, and there’s quite a bit that will change, I think. I’m just looking for the best possible way to tell the story, so every day that changes a little bit to make it better, I think. But the plan and the themes and the point of it all, the soul of it, is definitely worked out.”
