What would you do if you were trapped in a DM Zone and needed to find your loved ones? Well, we’re about to find out what it would be like for a mother played by Rosario Dawson who is looking for her son in such a zone. This new four-episode series is called simply that: “DMZ”. If you’re wanting to know what time and date DMZ premieres, read on for all the details.
For those who might still wonder what a DMZ is, it is an abbreviation for “Demilitarized Zone”, which is, by wiki’s definition, “an area in which treaties or agreements between nations, military powers or contending groups forbid military installations, activities, or personnel.” In other words, you’re fending for yourself and don’t expect to be able to trust everyone you meet. Not that real life is any different but, during a civil war, would be another kind of nightmare.
Now imagine being separated from your son within such a place and having to try to find him through chaos where civil war breaks out in a futuristic America and Manhattan becomes a demilitarized zone.
Well, that is the gist of what DMZ is all about.
When Will DMZ Air?
Directed by Ava DuVernay (P.O.V., When They See Us) and Ernest R. Dickerson (Raised by Wolves, The Purge), and based on a DC comic book, DMZ is set to premiere March 17, 2022, on HBO MAX with all four episodes of the limited series accessible from this date too.
A portion of the miniseries premiered at SXSW on March 12, 2022.
What Time Will DMZ Air?
HBO has not specified a time at which the show will air. However, the first episode titled Next Episode (I know…) has stated “midnight” in the US with no timezones specified. But as with Raised by Wolves, it is expected to be midnight PT and 3 a.m. ET, since all four episodes will be available at the same time. And with only four episodes at 60 minutes each, we can expect there to be a lot of binge-watching that show out there.
If you’re the kind of person who wants to know if the show will be worthy of your time, IGN has put up a very critical review of the series, and places such as Deadline Review and Slashfilm gave it a different sentence.
