Movies centered around a climate-related apocalypse are very popular right now, but Netflix’s Black Crab aims to be a bit different.
Based on the 2002 novel Svart krabba by Swedish author Jerker Virdborg, the Netflix adaptation tells the story of a soldier who sets out to deliver special cargo across a frozen ocean in exchange for the safety of her daughter.
The Swedish language film stars Noomi Rapace (Millennium, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Aliette Opheim, and Dar Salim. It is written and directed by Adam Berg.

This latest trailer shows how the Swedish army plans to execute their plan to end the war once and for all. “For the first time in 37 years, the entire archipelago is covered in ice,” the commander says in the trailer. “Your mission is to go across the ice.”
“As they enter hostile enemy territory, they have no idea what dangers lie ahead or who — if anyone — they can trust,” the official Netflix description reads. “But for speed skater turned soldier Caroline Edh, the mission is about something else entirely.”
The trailer goes on to show the main character’s daughter stuck in a refugee camp with a promise that she’ll be reunited as soon as she gets there.
Black Crab hits Netflix on March 18.

Looks pretty high quality for a modern swedish movie, they’re usually not this good looking, hope it’s not just trailer magic and actually look good all the way through.
