Episode 77’s Dub First Airs on TV Early in the Morning February 20

Toonami premieres the Attack on Titan English dub on TV first, a few hours before it arrives on Funimation. However, not everyone can watch Toonami’s version. Toonami is only available to people who have a cable or satellite subscription that includes Cartoon Network.

The Season 4 Episode 18 English dub (Episode 77) airs on TV at 12:30 a.m. Eastern on Sunday, February 20, according to a Facebook post that Toonami shared. Toonami’s Facebook page had previously indicated that the new episodes might drop weekly at midnight Eastern, but the new post confirmed what we suspected — the official time is indeed 12:30 a.m. Eastern on Sundays. This actually gives dub viewers an idea of what it’s like to watch in Japan, where new episodes air on TV there right around midnight.

TV Guide’s listing confirms the 12:30 a.m. Eastern time. This is also 11:30 p.m. Central on Saturday, February 19. (Toonami’s schedule also lists 12:30 a.m.)

The exact time might vary depending on the cable or satellite provider in your region, so make sure to double check. It will be on Toonami/Adult Swim/Cartoon Network. (Your cable provider could list it under any one of those channels, although the channel number itself is the same.)

You can also stream the Toonami broadcast on Hulu Live TV, Sling TV, AT&T Now, or YouTube TV. (Note that we’re talking about the Hulu with Live TV, which costs more than a regular Hulu subscription. The dub isn’t on regular Hulu yet. In fact, regular Hulu will only have Season 4 Episode 1’s dub available starting on February 22 at 12 p.m. Central.

If you’re wanting to stream and don’t have a cable login, Funimation’s option will be cheaper than Toonami’s, which we’re sharing next.

The Season 4 Episode 18 Dub Releases on Funimation on Sunday, February 20

Funimation is the only source for streaming English dubs legally at this time, unless you happen to have a cable or satellite subscription with access to the Cartoon Network. They will get the next episode on Sunday, February 20 also, but it will be a little later in the day.

Post Apocalyptic Media reached out to a representative from Funimation. They shared that Funimation is not able to confirm exactly what time the English dubs drop, but they will drop one a week sometime on Sundays. So if you’re wanting to watch on Funimation, you’ll need to keep an eye out for the dub off and on throughout the day. Sometimes they even drop as late as 10 or 11 p.m.

The new dubbed episode will appear on this link once it’s up. Change the dropdown menu to Season 4. It will be listed as Episode 77, called “Sneak Attack.”

You’ll need a paid account if you want to watch the episode on Funimation, because free accounts typically need to wait about a week after a new episode drops before they can watch. The paid accounts start at just $7.99/month, so it’s definitely worth the price. Plus, you can watch all the previous seasons on there too. You can also sign up for a trial if you want to test the platform first.
