If you’re a fan of retro isometric RPGs with near limitless choices and the sense of humor of Wasteland or Fallout, you’re going to love Encased.
Encased is the product of Russian indie developer Dark Crystal Games and today marks the game’s venture out of early access and into official retail launch!
Encased is described as “a tactical sci-fi RPG set in an alternative 1970’s, where an enormous and inexplicable artifact –the Dome– is discovered in a remote desert. Fight enemies, explore the anomalous wasteland, level up your character, join one of the forces in the ruined world.”
If you’re still not sold that this is a special game, check out the latest trailer below that describes some of the choices you can make in the game. “The smarter you are, the easier problems are to solve,” the narrator advises while showing a high intelligence character build. “Making yourself as thick as two short planks feels counterintuitive, but that’s the point. Play as a moron, and a whole new storyline opens up.”
The trailer goes on to describe situations where you can dance instead of fight your enemies, avoid all lethal force, use ONLY lethal force, or even avoid all human contact through the whole game. Each of these styles has its own unique endings to boot.
Encased is currently only available for PC on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games store with future console play coming to the Xbox One and PS4 in the future. A special reduced price of $23.99 USD is available during launch until September 14.

I thought this game was released already? Was it just in Early Access because I’ve had that game for over a year in my backlog.
If you loved Fallout and Fallout 2 I think you’re going to like this game, just like ATOM RPG and UnderRail are other similar PA RPG games.
Yeah it was in early access forever but just had its retail release.
