Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 9, Volunteer, is almost here. Last week, Gabi made her play and it backfired, but at a heartbreaking cost. This week, we’ll see the fallout from her decision. Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 9 Premieres Sunday at 12:45 p.m. Pacific in the United States

The English subtitled version of Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 9 will drop on Sunday, February 7 at 12:45 p.m. Pacific in the United States. (Please note that this is only the U.S. time, and the time in other countries could be different.) In other U.S. time zones, this translates to 1:45 p.m. Mountain, 2:45 p.m. Central, and 3:45 p.m. Eastern on Sunday. In Honolulu, Hawaii, that’s Sunday at 10:45 a.m. In Anchorage, Alaska, that’s Sunday at 11:45 a.m.

Don’t forget that only the sub of the new episode is premiering on Sunday, February 7. The English dub for Episode 9 will air at a later date, about a month from now. On February 7, the English dub for Season 4 Episode 5 will be airing on Funimation (see links for watching in the last section of this story) and Toonami. It’s unclear when it will be available on Hulu. This is the main disadvantage for viewers who are trying to watch just the dub versions — they’re about a month behind everyone else, so they have to be extra careful about avoiding spoilers.

#AttackonTitan's English sub premieres three hours before the #SuperBowl, so we don't have to choose which to watch! 😎 Share on X

(By the way — if you’re watching the Super Bowl too, the two won’t overlap at all. The Super Bowl doesn’t start until 6:30 p.m. Eastern, which is nearly three hours after Attack on Titan premieres.)

The Japanese-Only Version Airs Early, So Avoid Social Media If You Don’t Want Spoilers

Episode 9 will premiere in Japan without English subtitles at 12:10 a.m. Japan time, which is a few hours before it premieres with English subtitles in the United States. This is the reason why you might see spoilers before the episode’s available on your typical streaming service. It’s not because it leaked and you missed it, but because the non-sub version drops early, and sub versions in other countries may drop earlier too.

If you want to avoid spoilers, then try to avoid social media for a few hours before the English sub premieres in the U.S.

Here’s a Countdown to Season 4 Episode 9, ‘Volunteer’

Last week, Gabi pretty much ruined everyone’s life by hopping aboard the airship and shooting and killing Sasha. 🙁 This was absolutely gut-wrenching as we heard Sasha’s last words: “Meat.” 🙁

Sadly, quite a few people are blaming Eren for this happening, even though his actions truly did help Paradis get a huge advantage in the war against Marley. Zeke is now on the airship, Reiner has lost his will to fight, and the Warhammer Titan’s powers now reside in Eren. So really, Marley only has the Cart Titan and the Jaw Titan, which pale in comparison to the Titans on Paradis’ side.
