The Attack on Titan Season 4 dub’s release is almost here. But if you’re a bit confused on exactly what time you can tune in to watch it, you’re not alone. Depending on your time zone in the United States, the Season 4 Episode 1 English dub is either releasing late Saturday night, January 9, or early morning on Sunday, January 10.
Here is exactly what time the #AttackonTitan Season 4 Episode 1 dub premieres. Share on XThe Season 4 Episode 1 English Dub Releases on Toonami Late Saturday Night/Early Sunday Morning
So here’s where things get a little confusing. Toonami’s official Facebook post says that the English dub for Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 1 it is releasing Saturday night at 12:30 a.m. This is confusing because they don’t list a time zone and it’s unclear if 12:30 a.m. refers to Saturday morning or technically Sunday morning (late Saturday night.) An earlier post has the wrong release date, adding even more confusion.
TV Guide’s schedule listing and its Attack on Titan TV page reveal the accurate release date, which we confirmed by checking our DVR listings.
Attack on Titan’s Season 4 Episode 1 English dub releases on Toonami at 12:30 a.m. Eastern on Sunday, January 10. In other time zones, according to TV Guide, it’s releasing at 11:30 p.m. Central on Saturday night, January 9 / 1:30 a.m. Mountain on Sunday, January 10 / and 12:30 a.m. Pacific on Sunday, January 10.
According to the schedule listed on TV Guide for Toonami (which is Adult Swim), one episode is releasing a week. So Episode 1 of the English dub premieres on Adult Swim/Toonami on late night January 9, followed by Episode 2 airing late night January 17 (depending on your time zone.)
If you want to watch the new episode on TV, you can watch it on Toonami (aka the Cartoon Network/Adult Swim) at the times listed above. To find out what channel it’s on in your region, just go to TV Guide’s listings, change the Provider to your provider, and you’ll get your local channel if you scroll down to Cartoon Network/Toonami’s listing.
If you’re wanting to watch online, there are several options. Fubo TV, Sling TV, and Hulu with Live TV all carry Adult Swim (and thus likely Toonami too) and have free trials you can try. You can also likely watch live streams on AdultSwim.com or on the Adult Swim app for iOS or Google Play. However, keep in mind that these often require a cable login to watch, and sometimes they have server errors during the streams.
The English Dub Releases on Funimation on January 10
At some point after it releases on Toonami, Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 1 will also air on Funimation. We don’t know exactly what time it’ll be on Funimation, however. Season 4 Episode 5 (the subtitled version) will release at 3:45 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, January 10. It’s not clear if the dub for Season 4 Episode 1 will also release on Funimation at that same time, or if it will release at a different time on Sunday.
The dub episode is going to be available online for streaming on January 10, according to Funimation’s website. It will appear on this link once it’s up. Make sure you change the dropdown menu to Season 4. The episode will have “English/Japanese” beneath the episode title, so you can choose if you want the sub or the dub version. Please note that in order to watch any episode, you’ll need an account. You CAN watch with a free account, but you’ll have to sit through ads. If you don’t want to pay for a plan, scroll to the bottom of the “sign up for an account” page until you see where it says “Not ready to commit.” Then click on the option to create a free account. Then you’ll have to go to Account Settings and turn off “Restrict Mature Content” before you can watch the episode.
To find out when future dub episodes premiere, Funimation suggests following Dub From Home’s webpage here.
It’s unclear when Crunchyroll and Hulu will get the English dub.
