If you’re looking for Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 5 and can’t find it, it’s not missing. Funimation is taking a week off of new episodes for the holiday. So that means we won’t be getting a new Attack on Titan today on Sunday, January 3. Instead, the next episode is going to air a week from today on Sunday, January 10.

We’re sorry to say that Attack on Titan isn’t airing today, January 3. You’ll have to wait another week. 🙁 This is especially hard given the cliffhanger and major reveal that we saw at the end of Episode 4. (Comicbook.com also confirmed this news.)
Episode 5 episode premieres first in Japan without English subtitles at 12:10 a.m. Then the English subtitled episode will air a few hours after it premieres in Japan. In the United States, Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 5 with English subtitles premieres Sunday, January 10 at 12:45 p.m. Pacific/1:45 p.m. Mountain. In other time zones this is 2:45 p.m. Central and 3:45 p.m. Eastern (on the East Coast) on Sunday. In Honolulu, Hawaii, that’s Sunday at 10:45 a.m. In Anchorage, Alaska, that’s Sunday at 11:45 a.m.
Links for Watching Online
The premiere time and date for Season 4 Episode 5 is the same no matter what streaming service you’re using (within the U.S.) to watch the English subtitled version. Here’s where you’ll be able to watch it on January 10.
Hulu: Hulu has Attack on Titan Season 4 at this link. This is a paid streaming service, but two-week free trials are available to test it out. If you’ve been watching Attack on Titan this long, however, you might have already used up your free trial. In my opinion, it’s worth the cost of signing up for Hulu in order to get the best servers for watching it without commercials.
Crunchyroll: Watch here for Season 4 episodes, including Episode 5 (aka Episode 64.) This is typically the first location where the new episode drops, but the others aren’t too far behind.
Funimation: Watch here (U.S., Canada, UK, Ireland, Brazil, Mexico) for Season 4 Episode 5.
Episode 5 Trailer
If you need something to hold you over while you wait, here’s the trailer for Season 4 Episode 5, “Declaration of War.”
Just a warning: we haven’t read the comments on the YouTube video, and have heard that many commenters put spoilers on YouTube. So you might just want to watch the trailer without reading the comments beneath.
By the way, we’ve also learned that there are a guaranteed 16 episodes in Season 4, but this will NOT cover the entire manga for the end of Attack on Titan. So we’re hoping more episodes are picked up for a second half of Season 4.
