You may remember when we showed off the trailer for Love and Monsters during one of last month’s YouTube round-ups, so you can imagine our excitement about the film catching so much attention during its launch week.

While it was originally scheduled to release during that unfortunate time period of March 2020, it was postponed until April, and then again until February 2021, but Paramount finally decided to skip the wait for theaters to re-open and release it today for video-on-demand only.

Originally titled Monster Problems, Love and Monsters is the story of a young man who leaves his underground bunker years after giant monsters destroyed the world. Of course, the first thing the main character, Joel (Dylan O’Brien), does when he resurfaces is look for his old high school girlfriend Aimee (Jessica Henwick). Joel risks death-by-monster to find Aimee and rekindle their love. Awww.

Love and Monsters is available now for purchase on demand through several streaming services, including Vudu, Apple TV, Google Play, Amazon Prime, Fandango Now, and the Microsoft Store.
