10 Cloverfield Lane Official Trailers One And Two

10 Cloverfield Lane comes out 3-11-2016. That’s just about three weeks from now. Does that seem fast? Like they just started advertising this thing a few weeks ago? Well, that’s because they did.

The first trailer for 10 Cloverfield Lane was released on January 15 of this year, so that means the entire pre-release advertising campaign will take about two months from start to finish. I like that.

Trailer 2 aired during the Super Bowl. You can watch Trailer 2 at the top of this page or watch Trailer 1 below.

Now I know what you’re wondering, and the answer is YES.

10 Cloverfield Lane is probably related to Cloverfield (2008)

Producer J.J. Abrams says that,

“The idea came up a long time ago during production. We wanted to make it a blood relative of Cloverfield.

So let’s see.. Abrams produced Cloverfield. 10 Cloverfield Lane is also produced by Abrams and literally has the word Cloverfield in the title. Abrams says they’re blood relatives… I think it’s safe to assume they’re probably related. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

10 Cloverfield Lane is directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who made the incredible short film Portal: No Escape (below), which is a must see even if you haven’t played the game. This Portal video is a personal favorite when giving friends the Youtube tour.

Disclaimer – I’m a really big fan of the Portal franchise. In fact, the grooms cake at my wedding was a freaking Companion Cube with red velvet innards. (Red because I believe in this crazy theory and also because red velvet is my jam.) My friend Zach Manasan, who is a professional chef, made it for me. It turned out even better than the pics I sent him. Check it out.
